Softball Recap: Hickory Comes Up Short

After flying high against Statesville two weeks ago, Hickory came back down to earth. The Red Tornadoes wound up with the same score they had in their last game (15-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Hickory's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for North Lincoln, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

North Lincoln didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-2 loss against Foard on the 30th. Hopefully Hickory paid attention to the Knights' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
