Volleyball Recap: Newton County Comes Up Short

Newton County kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Our Lady Academy Crescents by a score of 2-1.

Madeline Piazza was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and one assist. Those ten digs gave her a new career-high.

Newton County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Oak Grove on the 1st. Our Lady Academy has also already played their next game (against New Hope), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
