Softball Recap: Willcox Comes Up Short

The Willcox Cowboys came up short against the Notre Dame Prep Saints on Friday, falling 9-2. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Willcox saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layla Donahue, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Karlie St Clair, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Willcox's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Notre Dame Prep, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willcox will welcome San Miguel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Willcox is facing San Miguel at the right time seeing as San Miguel is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Notre Dame Prep, they will challenge Horizon at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
