Volleyball Game Preview: La Jolla Vikings vs. University City Centurions + How To Watch

The La Jolla Vikings will head out to challenge the University City Centurions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. La Jolla will be strutting in after a win while University City will be coming in after a loss.

La Jolla is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since September 13th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Patrick Henry.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (105-100) La Jolla actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-22, 20-25, 15-25, 25-22, 15-11.

Meanwhile, University City lost 3-0 to Point Loma on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Centurions in their meetings with the Pointers: they've now lost four in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-9.

University City now has a losing record of 17-18. As for La Jolla, their victory bumped their record up to 12-20.

La Jolla couldn't quite get it done against University City when the teams last played on October 7th as they fell 3-1. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
