Softball Recap: Lafayette Jefferson Takes a Loss

Harrison hit Lafayette Jefferson with a nine-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bronchos lost 14-2 to the Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bronchos of the 11-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Rilee Clifton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Lafayette Jefferson now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Harrison, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 4-9 record.

Coming up, Lafayette Jefferson will head out to take on Benton Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harrison, they will square off against West Lafayette at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
