Glencoe waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Spring Garden Panthers by a score of 2-0. The Yellowjackets were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Panthers, so the Yellowjackets were just returning the favor.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Glencoe took both sets by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-8.

Evelyn Nowak paced Glencoe's offense, picking up ten kills. Nowak got some help from Kinlee Montgomery and her 19 assists. Montgomery was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Glencoe's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Spring Garden, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glencoe will square off against Ohatchee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spring Garden, they will head out to challenge Cleburne County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
