Basketball Recap: Charlotte Christian Victorious

The Charlotte Christian Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-41 victory over the Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association Stallions on Thursday.

Piper Fair was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 boards. What's more, she posted two steals, the most she's had since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Coles, who earned 14 points and four steals.

Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Austin Miller, who scored nine points. Emmersyn Stamper was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Charlotte Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charlotte Christian will face off against Victory Christian Center at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Metrolina Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
