Baseball Recap: Ludlowe Victorious

Ludlowe got themselves on the board against Greenwich on Tuesday, but Greenwich never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Cardinals. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won six in a row.

Mason Holcomb looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ludlowe is 2-1 when Holcomb allows one or fewer hits, but 1-2 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Ludlowe's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kenny Luczaj, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Dylan Davis, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The victory got Ludlowe back to even at 3-3. As for Greenwich, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Ludlowe will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cardinals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
