Softball Recap: Alcorn Central Comes Up Short

Alcorn Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Mantachie Mustangs, falling 11-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 on Tuesday.

Alcorn Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adysen Davis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Alcorn Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Mantachie, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-9.

Alcorn Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Biggersville on the 5th. As for Mantachie, they will take on Mooreville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
