Baseball Recap: Chapman Irish vs. Southeast of Saline Trojans
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Chapman ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Southeast of Saline Trojans 12-11. The win was some much needed relief for the Irish as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Chapman got a massive performance out of Aven Woods, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with six stolen bases and four runs. Those six stolen bases gave Woods a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Hanney, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Chapman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .596. They are 6-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The victory got Chapman back to even at 6-6. As for Southeast of Saline, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chapman will take on Concordia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southeast of Saline, they will face off against Beloit on Thursday.
