Basketball Game Preview: Gross Catholic Cougars vs. Buena Vista Bison

The Gross Catholic Cougars just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Buena Vista Bison at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Buena Vista took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Gross Catholic, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Gross Catholic beat Mercy 66-61. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Buena Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 53-23 loss at the hands of Bishop Neumann. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 54th).

Buena Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Gross Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
