Basketball Recap: Willow Spring Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Willow Spring extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 3-0. They walked away with a 77-65 victory over the Holly Springs Golden Hawks. For the Storm, this counts as revenge for the 73-66 win the Golden Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Willow Spring to victory, but perhaps none more so than Xavion Terrell, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 18 points and seven boards. Corey Kinard Ii was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to 11 assists and six rebounds.

Willow Spring was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

As for Holly Springs, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points over those games.

Despite the loss, Holly Springs still got an impressive performance from Chase Olgine, who almost dropped a double-double with 32 points and nine boards. Olgine is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Samuel Webster, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 10 points.

Willow Spring didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-51 victory against Orange on the 28th. As for Holly Springs, they will square off against Overhills at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
