Baseball Game Preview: Union Grove Lions vs. Waskom Wildcats

The Union Grove Lions will take on the Waskom Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union Grove is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Ore City hit Union Grove with a five-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lions lost 12-3 to the Rebels.

Meanwhile, Waskom fell victim to Carlisle and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 16-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Waskom's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Union Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16-2.

Union Grove took their win against Waskom in their previous meeting back in February of 2016 by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
