Baseball Recap: French Camp Academy Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when French Camp Academy challenged Independence on Saturday. The French Camp Academy Panthers came out on top against the Independence Wildcats by a score of 8-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

The team relied heavily on Robert Bentley, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Ty Martin was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

French Camp Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Independence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. French Camp Academy will take on Winona at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Independence, they will square off against Senatobia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Independence is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
