Soccer Recap: Greenbrier Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sycamore, Greenbrier was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Fairview Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Jorge Marroquin and Krystian Lopez-Migquel scored both of Greenbrier's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Greenbrier's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Fairview, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Greenbrier will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fairview, they will face off against Creek Wood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairview's defense better be ready for this one: Creek Wood has averaged an impressive 3.8 goals per game this season.
