Volleyball Recap: Ridgewood Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Ayanna Masters and Karli Stickdorn

Ridgewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Garaway Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-10.

Despite the loss, Ridgewood had strong showings from Karli Stickdorn, who had 17 assists and six digs, and Ayanna Masters, who had. Stickdorn is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Ridgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Garaway, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Ridgewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Newcomerstown on the 11th. As for Garaway, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Conotton Valley on the 11th.
