Volleyball Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Moundridge Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12.

Sterling now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Moundridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-2-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sterling is set to face off against their familiar foe Bennington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Moundridge will square off against rival Trinity on Tuesday.
