Baseball Recap: Clovis Triumphs

Clovis's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Trinity Christian Lions. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 6-3 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Clovis' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Trinity Christian, they moved to 15-3 with that loss, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Coming up, Clovis will challenge Portales at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity Christian, they will be playing at home against Roswell at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
