Basketball Game Preview: Crestwood Cadets vs. Wapsie Valley Warriors

The Crestwood Cadets will square off against the Wapsie Valley Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Crestwood sitting on five straight wins and Wapsie Valley on three.

Last Tuesday, Crestwood earned a 61-53 victory over Newman Catholic.

Meanwhile, Wapsie Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Oelwein on Tuesday, taking the game 67-57.

Crestwood has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Wapsie Valley, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Crestwood came up short against Wapsie Valley in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 55-46. Can Crestwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
