Basketball Game Preview: Louisville Lions vs. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder

The Louisville Lions will venture away from home to face off against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Tuesday, Louisville didn't have quite enough to beat Yutan and fell 47-44. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Chieftains are ranked 37th).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Houston Klein, who posted 11 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Keegan Witte, who put up ten points.

Meanwhile, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder ended up a good deal behind Louisville on Thursday and lost 68-54. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has struggled against Louisville recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Like Louisville, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder lost despite seeing results from several players. Nolan Robley led the charge by going 5 of 11 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matson Beacom, who had seven points and five boards.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Louisville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Louisville strolled past Logan View/Scribner-Snyder in their previous meeting on Thursday by a score of 68-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Louisville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
