Basketball Recap: Spooner Takes a Loss

Spooner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 51-29 to the Ladysmith Lumberjacks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rails this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-44 back in December of 2024.

Spooner's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Ladysmith, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Spooner will square off against Cameron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cameron will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Spooner surely won't give up without a fight. Ladysmith has already played their next game (against Chetek-Weyerhaeuser), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
