Baseball Recap: Green Triumphs

Green took an eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Nordonia, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Knights on Friday.

Green's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Nordonia, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-3.

Green didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-8 loss against Marlington on the 18th. Nordonia has also already played their next game (against Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
