Basketball Game Preview: Peoria Panthers vs. Moon Valley Rockets

The Peoria Panthers will take on the Moon Valley Rockets in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Peoria is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 61-28 victory over Crismon. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Moon Valley didn't have too much trouble with Tempe on Tuesday as they won 49-30. That 19 point margin sets a new team best for the Rockets this season.

Moon Valley's win came from a few key players Peoria will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kamariana Shaw, who posted 14 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aniston Pattershall, who had 11 points in addition to seven assists and four blocks.

Moon Valley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Peoria, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Peoria came up short against Moon Valley when the teams last played back in January of 2018, falling 42-35. Can Peoria avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
