Isle of Wight Academy won the last time they faced Portsmouth Christian and things went their way on Monday too. The Chargers came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 3-1.

Isle of Wight Academy was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 24-26, 25-14, 25-9.

Kirbie Edwards paced Isle of Wight Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Edwards got some help from Christina Petruzalek and her 22 assists. Petruzalek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Isle of Wight Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Portsmouth Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
