Recap: Homestead Broncos vs. St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders
The Homestead Broncos and the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Homestead Broncos had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 31-28. Homestead's loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Homestead lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joshua Townsend. Despite the final result, he threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Townsend is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played.
Homestead's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 14-1.
Homestead does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Thomas Aquinas also has no future games currently scheduled.
