Baseball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Philipsburg-Osceola Mounties. The Dragons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mounties from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Loucks, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

As for Philipsburg-Osceola, their record is now 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 30, 2025.

On Philipsburg-Osceola's side, the team relied heavily on Fischer White, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that White has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Guenot, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.

While Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
