Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hutto). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Round Rock Westwood Warriors a 15-0 shutout on Friday. The Hippos haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Makayla Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Mia Sanchez was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Hutto was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Hutto picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Round Rock Westwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Hutto will welcome Manor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Round Rock Westwood, they are taking a road trip to take on Round Rock at 7:00 p.m. on March 14th.
