Baseball Recap: Half Moon Bay Comes Up Short

Half Moon Bay suffered their biggest loss since March 1st on Wednesday. They came up short against the Sequoia Ravens, falling 14-1. The Cougars have struggled against the Ravens recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Half Moon Bay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kai Kung, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Half Moon Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Sequoia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Half Moon Bay didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-10 loss against Santa Cruz on the 5th. As for Sequoia, they will face off against King's Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Ravens 3.2, the Knights 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
