Soccer Recap: Gilbert Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Augusta, Gilbert was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Crestwood Knights a 2-0 shutout.

Eric Aviles and Cade Hopp scored both of Gilbert's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Gilbert now has a winning record of 2-1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilbert will venture away from home to take on South Aiken at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crestwood, they will head out to face off against South Florence at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
