The Great Hearts Irving Mustangs put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Varsity Opponent 56-27 at home. Fans of Great Hearts Irving have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Great Hearts Irving's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyle Crissey, who scored 15 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Crissey has scored at least 25% of Great Hearts Irving's points. Benji Cronenwett was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Great Hearts Irving's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Varsity Opponent, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 75-319-3.
Great Hearts Irving will be playing in front of their home fans against Founders Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Varsity Opponent will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Mishawaka HomeSchool W at 1:10 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Mishawaka HomeSchool W focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
