Softball Recap: South Albany Redhawks vs. Lebanon Warriors
South Albany couldn't beat Lebanon on Wednesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Redhawks came up short against the Warriors, falling 18-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 26-16 back in April.
Audrey Webb was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ella Avery, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
South Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Lebanon, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-16.
As of now, neither South Albany nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
