Baseball Recap: Livingston's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against St. Benedict's Prep on Monday, Livingston came back down to earth. The Lancers came up short against the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen on Wednesday, falling 9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lancers have suffered since June 5, 2024.

Livingston's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5. As for Don Bosco Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Coming up, Livingston will venture away from home to face off against Union City at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lancers 3.6, the Soaring Eagles 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Don Bosco Prep, they will face off against Ridgewood at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Ironmen have won 17 straight at home dating back to last season, while the Maroons won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
