Baseball Recap: Raymond Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Richland, Raymond was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Crystal Springs Tigers by a score of 10-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Rangers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The team relied heavily on Carlton Davis, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Nikameron Gilmer, who scored a run and stole Two bases.

Raymond's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Crystal Springs, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Raymond will welcome Meridian at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crystal Springs, they will head out to challenge Natchez at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
