Football Recap: Yelm Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Life Christian Academy last Friday, Yelm came back down to earth. The Tornados took a 17-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spanaway Lake Sentinels on Friday. The Tornados were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sentinels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The critical scores for Spanaway Lake came from Malik Burns and Darrell Sillers.

Yelm's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Spanaway Lake, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Yelm is set to square off against their familiar foe Graham-Kapowsin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Spanaway Lake will take on rival Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
