Soccer Recap: Athens Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

There's no place like home for Athens, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Brownsboro Bears on Tuesday as the Athens Hornets made off with an 8-0 victory. It was an even better day for Anna Stovall as she scored four goals for her team.

Athens pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those five contests. As for Brownsboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Coincidentally, Athens and Brownsboro will both be playing Cumberland Academy the next time they take the pitch. Brownsboro will host Cumberland Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while Athens will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on February 18th.
