Softball Recap: Piketon Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Piketon hadn't done well against Adena recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Redstreaks skirted past the Warriors 9-8. That's two games straight that the Redstreaks have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Addy Blakeman, who fired off two home runs and three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylin Forbes, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Piketon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Adena only posted an OBP of .429.

Piketon pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Adena, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Piketon has already played their next game, a 24-7 victory against Huntington on the 16th. As for Adena, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-0 win against Southeastern on the 16th.
