Basketball Recap: IDEA Quest College Prep Takes a Loss

IDEA Quest College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 38-9 loss at the hands of the Santa Rosa Warriors. Sadly, that's the three time they've come up short against the Trailblazers, as the also lost their prior matchup 46-5 back in November.

Leading Santa Rosa to victory were Kamryn Navarro and Mia Garza. Navarro dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards, while Garza went 7 of 13 on her way to 14 points in addition to six boards and five steals. What's more, Navarro also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Bea Garza, who posted two points in addition to six boards and three steals.

IDEA Quest College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Santa Rosa, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

IDEA Quest College Prep will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Idea Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 17th. As for Santa Rosa, they will take on Progreso at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Rosa's defense has only allowed 22.4 points per game this season, so Progreso's offense will have their work cut out for them.
