Valencia had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Heritage Christian Warriors on Monday, sneaking past 47-44. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 81-40 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Ali Eldein, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Irons, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards.

Coming up, Valencia won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Calabasas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage Christian, they will take on Milken at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
