Thursday just wasn't the day for West Perry's offense. They came up short against Mifflin County on Thursday, falling 15-0.
West Perry saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haley Prowell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. Olivia Bowen also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Boiling Springs lost 10-4 to Greencastle-Antrim on Wednesday.
Delaney Lawyer was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero). She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, Gabrielle Vonstein made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mya Gilliam, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
West Perry's record now sits at 0-12-1. As for Boiling Springs, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9.
