Baseball Game Preview: John Hardin Bulldogs vs. Edmonson County Wildcats

The John Hardin Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Edmonson County Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. John Hardin has given up an average of 12.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

John Hardin is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against North Hardin, falling 23-5.

Bryce Bradshaw made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Edmonson County was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They fell just short of Hart County by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since April 6, 2024.

Hunter Wilson put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Edmonson County is 2-1 when Wilson posts ten or more strikeouts, but 5-11-1 otherwise. Wilson was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

John Hardin's record is now 2-11. As for Edmonson County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12-1 record this season.
