It was a proper cat-fight when Winter Park faced off against Lake Nona on Friday. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Tuesday.

Mason Barberree paced Winter Park's offense, picking up seven kills. Barberree got some help from Jacob Little-Phillips and his 20 assists.

Despite the loss, Lake Nona had strong showings from Jonathan Mckenna, who had 12 digs and one assist, and Rylan Beard, who had seven kills, five digs, and two aces. Mckenna has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times he's played.

Winter Park's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Lake Nona, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Winter Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Freedom on the 12th. As for Lake Nona, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against University on the 11th.
