Volleyball Recap: Harvest Community Comes Up Short

If Harvest Community was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Southwest Florida Christian on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors came up short against the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles on Saturday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Elina Adhikari paced Harvest Community's offense, picking up ten kills. Adhikari got some help from Rylie Harris and her 14 assists. Harris also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Taylor Marts, each putting up two.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indian Rocks Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tesa Johnson, who had 17 digs and two aces. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played. Allie Hollenbeck was another key player, getting ten digs and three assists.

Harvest Community's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Indian Rocks Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-7.

Harvest Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Fleming Island on the 9th. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Northside Christian on the 7th.
