Football Game Preview: Chopticon Braves vs. Westlake Wolverines + Official Tickets

The Chopticon Braves will take on the Westlake Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Chopticon has given up an average of 37.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Chopticon's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Great Mills on Friday. They were outmatched by the Hornets and fell 40-0. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Hornets are ranked 42nd).

Meanwhile, Westlake had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 17-7. The 17-point effort marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Westlake's win came from a few key players Chopticon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mekhi Prather, who picked up 55 receiving yards and one score. Orlando (O3) Moss III handled things on the ground, rushing for 102 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Chopticon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
