Soccer Game Preview: Broomfield vs. Legacy

The Broomfield Eagles will take on the Legacy Lightning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Broomfield's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Monarch with a sharp 6-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Broomfield in their matchups with Monarch: they've now won eight in a row.

Broomfield's offense was hitting Monarch from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Kohyn Pottorff led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Legacy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. Neither they nor Horizon could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result kept Legacy happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 6th.

Broomfield's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four games. Legacy's draw gives them a new season record of 8-1-2.
