Everything went their way against the Shelbyville Golden Bears on Thursday as they made off with a 15-7 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Shamrocks considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Westfield got a great performance from Mackenzie Delph as she struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave Delph a new career-high.

At the plate, Avery Banas was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Gettinger, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Westfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Westfield's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Shelbyville, they dropped their record down to 15-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
