Softball Game Preview: Preston Indians vs. Marsh Valley Eagles

The Preston Indians will square off against the Marsh Valley Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Preston will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Preston had just enough and edged out American Falls 4-3.

Ellie Keller was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Keller was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Paisley Campbell was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Averie Madsen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one double.

Meanwhile, Marsh Valley made easy work of Bear Lake on Thursday and carried off a 10-4 victory.

Preston's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Marsh Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-16.

Preston took their win against Marsh Valley when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 17-3 score. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
