Softball Recap: Evansville Reitz Panthers vs. South Spencer Rebels

Evansville Reitz and South Spencer pushed the score to 20-0 the last time they played South Spencer, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Panthers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Rebels a 4-0 shutout. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Ella Ellerbrook, who gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks to keep South Spencer off the board. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Ellerbrook.

At the plate, Kinley Miller was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalee Polage, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
