Recap: Deer Valley Wolverines vs. Liberty Lions
The Deer Valley Wolverines''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 49-6 loss at the hands of Liberty. Deer Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.
Leading Liberty to victory were Sage Robertson and Ryan Mckendry. Robertson threw for 238 yards and four touchdowns, while Mckendry gained 136 total yards and three touchdowns.
Deer Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Liberty, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Deer Valley will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Antioch at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Antioch will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Liberty will take on Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pittsburg is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
