Soccer Game Preview: Frederick vs. Centaurus

The Frederick Golden Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Centaurus Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Frederick's offense. They fell 2-0 to Holy Family on Thursday. Frederick have struggled against Holy Family recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Centaurus). Everything went their way against Vista PEAK Prep on Tuesday as they made off with an 8-0 win. With that victory, Centaurus brought their scoring average up to 2.6 goals per game.

Their offense was hitting Vista PEAK Prep from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Sophie Neale led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Centaurus' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Frederick, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7-1.
