Softball Recap: Ridgevue Takes a Loss

Ridgevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-4 to the Capital Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 27-0 back in March.

Ridgevue saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Berkley Roath, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Tori McKinzie also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Ridgevue's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Capital, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ridgevue is set to take on their familiar foe Rocky Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Capital will face off against rival Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
